Every week, we hatch lots of male chicks (cockerels) that are separated from the pullets soon after hatching. These are the males from our egg-production breeds, and are generally not used for meat production, but actually will make an affordable source as lean fryer chicks that grow to 3-4 lbs once mature and do well on pasture. Breeds include the Idaho gem, Eggopolis Blue, and the Idaho Easter egger. These males sell out quickly, and must be picked up on Mondays or Tuesdays.
