The Welsh Magpie catches the eye of every livestock person with its magnificent coloration, and their curious and observant personalities. Magpies lay an abundance of large eggs and will beat most high-performance chicken breeds when it comes to efficiency, consistency and pasture egg production. Our Magpies come in Black & White, and Blue & White. 

Originating in Southeast Asia, the Indian Runner duck is a unique and fun duck breed. Runners are excellent layers of colored eggs and make great pest control birds. these ducks stand like little penguins and make great additions to your flock. 2023 Runners are assorted colors! 

An exiting new hybrid we have created here on the farm- the Russet Star gets her name from the famous russet color of her plumage (and “Star” is a common term for a sex-linked breed). We developed this breed as one of our exclusive Idaho breeds. Russet Stars lay upwards of 300 large eggs annually thanks to their Cascade, Pekin, Welsh Harlequin, and Magpie genetics. 

Originally Developed in Western Oregon, The Golden Cascade is known to be one of the best egg production ducks in the world. Cascades tend to be better layers in large flocks then the khaki Campbell due to their docile nature. The Males make excellent meat birds and are ideal for hybrid parent stock. Our Cascades come directly from Dave Holderread- the original creator of the breed. 

The Ancona duck is a strikingly beautiful duck with “cowhide like” print on its pure white feathers. The spots can be any duck color, including black, chocolate, brown, Tri-colored, silver, lavender, and blue. Anconas lay remarkably well, with an annual egg production of 280. The males grow quickly on pasture and finish out to be approximately 8lbs. 

One of the very most rare colors of the Call duck breed, and an extremely rare color in waterfowl in general. The Silver color, also known as “Aztec Blue”, “Dilute Silver”, or “Silver Mallard” is a recessive gene similar to Lavender in chickens. Call ducks have the sweetest personalities and look like they stepped out of a cartoon with their tiny, round bodies and large eyes.
Silver and Silver carriers are available as day-olds in limited quantities seasonally. 

The Welsh Harlequin is one of the world’s most treasured and wanted breeds due to their high egg production, vibrant and sharp coloring, and laidback personality. Our line goes back to the Holderread strain that is known to lay as many as 350 eggs a year, and have been world class champions. 

Originating in Guatemala, these Exotic ducks produce lean, flavorful and tasty meat with rapid growth rates and XL eggs. Muscovys have a huge personality and don’t quack, making them an excellent choice for people with close neighbors and come in several colors, including Piebald, Blue, Silver, White, Pied, Black and Bibbed.

Pilgrim Geese are known to be docile and an all around great farmstead goose. They are an “Auto-sexing” breed meaning the males and females are different colors which is very handy as geese don’t have different characteristics in terms of what you can see. Pilgrims are great foragers and excellent mothers!
