Unfortunately we are not setup to ship yet.
As for 2022, our minimum order is 2 for Chicks, Ducks, Turkeys and Geese. Our minimum order of quail is 3 day-olds or 2 starters.
We recommend feeding day-old chicks a starter & grower feed. You can find this at your local farm & ranch supply.
Dual-Purposed means the bird exhibits 2 purposes, usually dual-purposed birds are bred for both meat and egg production.
At Eggopolis, we breed all of our birds to be cold hardy and withstand the cold Idaho winters. We recommend keeping birds out of snowstorms and the wind to prevent frostbite and fetal conditions.
No, we ask all of our customers to be responsible for their own birds. Once the bird(s) have left our hands, you become the new owner and are responsible for them. We only sell healthy animals. All sales are final.
As much as we would love to show everyone our facilities, we don’t allow the public to visit our breeders and hatching facilities to prevent our birds from getting sicknesses.
Although all our breeders come from show lines and are very high quality, we can’t guarantee all our day-olds to be champion exhibition birds because even out of the highest quality breeding stock, there will still be birds that aren’t exactly like their parents.
For poultry-health reasons, we don’t take back any birds that have left the farm. If you need advice on how to re-home your birds, you can email us at the bottom of this page.
Yes, we offer a variety of breeds that are sold as females (pullets) at day #1. Any “straight-run” breeds we offer are not sold as separate males or females due to the breed not having distinctive characteristic from male to female at hatch.
We keep a secret of what goes in our specialty laying breeds, hybrids and varieties, but we will say, the breeds that go in our Laying varieties are not available to the public and are not a breed you would be able to find from a hatchery or another breeder.
At Eggopolis, we breed for durability, disease resistance and natural genetic-health, and don’t give or offer vaccines for poultry. If you have experienced mareks or other diseases that don’t leave the coop, it’s easy to order them online and give them to chicks personally. If you have not experienced any disease in your flock, we would not recommend vaccination, as it can introduce these diseases in your coop.
Our Hatching season usually starts in late February or early March and ends in October. Weather is normally what determines the start of the Hatching season.
A “pullet” is a common term used for an adolescent female chicken, but is a commonly confusing word to many poultry keepers. When a female chicken hatches, she is called a pullet up until ether maturity (5-6 months) or until she is a year old. When we state on the website the word “pullet” we are referring to a day-old female chicken.
