Lavender Sage egger collection

The Lavender Sage egger is one of our favorite exclusive colored egg layers on the farm. The soft lavender color makes the bird unique to any breed we have- there are a few stunning variants of the lavender within this cold-hardy breed that include silver lavender, champagne lavender (aka Isabella), and solid lavender. These large bodied, docile birds lay lots of wonderful sage-green colored eggs that vary from a light/smooth green, to a deep but lightly speckled sage green.
Fun Fact: The rare “lavender’’ color was originally called “self blue” in the US until the English lavender Orpington was imported, people began falling in love with the name and soon, many other breeds started to develop using the English term, “Lavender’’.
